A client asked for a dark top with a very natural finish, and he got just that! This edge grain wenge island is finished in Howard Butcher Block Conditioner and is three inches thick. The light and darker grains running through the wood are due to the different type of saw passes that had been performed during the milling stages, and add a lot of character to the piece.
